Watercolor painting classes will be held in the relaxed country setting of the Colonel Williams Inn. This class is appropriate for beginners and intermediate painters. Students will receive ample instruction while exploring the beauty of this portable and expressive medium. Learn to paint the tones in still lifes and landscapes, capture the quality of light, see color in new ways, and discover your very own style. Watercolors are the perfect medium for travelers and for painting in limited spaces.
A simple supply list will be sent upon registration. Supplies will also be available for purchase in class. A pocket sized watercolor set, a few brushes and some good paper are enough to get you started.
Instructor, Karen Becker, is well known in Vermont for her artwork and as a teacher of adults and children. Her paintings are in over 300 public and private collections. She is a graduate of Pratt Institute, and has worked as a Graphic Designer in Educational TV, Publishing and on Madison Ave.
Classes will be held daily, 10:30-1:00 p.m. A mid-morning snack will be included. Cost: 3 classes for $165 per person.
