Southern Vermont Attractions
There is a myriad of things to do here in Southern Vermont, and the Colonel Williams Inn is the perfect place to base your Vermont exploration. The Inn is central to many popular Vermont attractions. There is something for everyone here, whether indoor or outdoor, there are activities for every season.

Year-Round
The entire family will enjoy a visit to Adams Farm, an authentic agricultural adventure that includes hayrides, sleigh rides, petting farm, moonlight walks, story telling and festivals all year round. Southern Vermont is a hamlet for antique and craft shows. Art on the Mountain is a popular annual event in the Deerfield Valley at Haystack Mountain. The Stratton Arts Festival, Memorial Hall Center for the Arts, The Living History Museum, Brattleboro Museum, Downtown Brattleboro, and Marlboro Music Festival provide entertainment.

Winter
The Mount Snow, Haystack and Stratton Mountain Ski areas are all within a short drive. Cross country skiers can choose from several cross country ski trails within a few miles of the inn. Ice skating is available on our pond and at local rinks in Brattleboro and Wilmington. Snowshoeing can be done right from the inn.

Fall
Fall foliage is a very special time of year here in Southern Vermont and we have miles of quiet country roads ideal for your New England fall foliage vacation adventure.

Summer
In summer, enjoy swimming, mountain biking, golfing, tennis, fishing, skeet shooting, canoeing, lake rides, kayaking and hiking in the Green Mountain National Forest.

There is a great deal to see and do in the area surrounding the Inn, however many of our guests take full advantage of our peaceful and comfortable accommodations and just relax.

Letters to the Colonel Williams Inn
"It was a pleasure to meet you and John, and to stay in your charming inn. We especially enjoyed the historical tour of the inn incuding the fascinating barn. Thank you for your warmth and hospitality. I hope we can come and stay again!"
- Lise Hedegaard, East Puyallup, Washington
